Edelrid is promoting its new ANSI Z133-certified TreeRaptor Sit Harness as a tree-climbing harness with good features and excellent value. With padding on the back and hips and weighing in at 1,455 grams (3.2 pounds), the elasticated Velcro strap on the waist belt, billed by Edelrid as a VCR strap, is designed to make the TreeRaptor easy to put on and take off with a comfortable, nonrestrictive fit. The waist belt features a triple-lock buckle, and the leg loops have easy-to-use, double-lock buckles. A hip adjustment mechanism is designed to enable the user to individually loosen or tighten the tension on each side, which offers the advantage of fine-tuning the harness’s fit depending on the working application.
